Milvado Power · Solar + Storage

The power station on your roof.

We fund, build and run the system. You just buy the power it makes — at a rate set below what the grid charges you today.

Rooftop solar + on-site battery storage · Milvado Power

Most commercial roofs sit empty. Yours could quietly power everything beneath it.

In plain English

Three moving parts. We own all three.

You have the roof and the demand. We have the capital and the engineers. The agreement between those two things is the whole business.

01

We build it

We design, fund and install the solar and battery system on your building. No capital leaves your business.

02

You use it

Your power now comes from overhead, billed below the grid rate. Same sockets, same supply, smaller bill.

03

We run it

We own, insure and maintain the system for the full term. Every callout, repair and replacement sits with us.

Try it

Estimate your rooftop's potential.

Drag the slider to your roughly usable roof area. The figures are indicative — a site survey confirms the real numbers.

A typical mid-size commercial unit has about 1,000 m² to 3,000 m² of roof.

These figures use about 1 kWp for each 7 m² of usable roof, and about 900 kWh for each kWp a year in the UK. They use 0.2 kgCO₂e for each kWh, and 2,700 kWh for each average home. The figures are indicative. Your bill saving depends on your tariff and your usage. We confirm the saving against your actual contract before any agreement.

How it works for you

From first call to lower bills.

We manage the whole process. These are the four steps. None of them costs you anything.

We always confirm your saving against your real tariff first.
Step 01

We survey your building

We look at your roof, your power usage and the price you pay today. If your site does not work, we will tell you.

Step 02

We install it

Milvado funds, owns and insures the system. You pay no capital cost. Your operations continue as normal.

Step 03

You buy power below grid rate

A power purchase agreement sets your price below the grid price. We bill you each month for the power you use.

Step 04

We look after it

We monitor, maintain and support the system for the full term. You do nothing.

Serious infrastructure

Built to the standard of a major energy project — on your building.

Rooftop solar and battery storage, engineered and monitored to the standard of utility-scale energy projects — sized for a single building.

Why it's better

Lower bills today. A hedge against tomorrow.

Power made on your own roof is cleaner, and it sits outside the network charges that keep pushing commercial bills up.

Lower bills

Priced below your grid rate, so you save from the first month. There is no payback period to wait out.

Genuinely cleaner

On-site renewable generation, metered and documented, that goes straight into your own sustainability reporting.

Our asset, our risk

The system is our asset sitting on your roof. Equipment failure, insurance and replacement are our exposure, not yours.

Steadier pricing

Less exposed to volatile wholesale prices and the network charges set to climb as the grid is upgraded.

Good questions

The things people ask us first.

What exactly am I signing up to?
A power purchase agreement (PPA). Milvado installs and owns the solar and battery system on your building. You agree to buy the electricity it makes at an agreed rate for each unit. That rate is set below the grid rate. You pay only for the power you use.
Do I have to pay anything to get it installed?
No. Milvado funds, owns and insures the whole system. You pay no capital cost, no equipment cost and no maintenance cost. You supply the roof space and the demand.
Is it actually cheaper than my current supplier?
That is the aim, but it depends on your current contract. We do not promise a number before we see your tariff. We compare the PPA rate against your actual tariff and show you the saving in writing. If the PPA rate does not beat your grid price, we will tell you.
What happens if my lease ends or I move out?
The system belongs to the building, not to you. The agreement is built to pass to the next occupier. We settle this with you and the building owner before we install anything, so there are no surprises later.
Who owns and maintains the panels and batteries?
Milvado owns and maintains the system for the full term. We monitor the performance remotely. We do all servicing, repairs and insurance. The equipment is our responsibility, not yours.
Will my power supply still be reliable?
Yes. Your building stays connected to the grid at all times. The solar and battery supply your power first. The grid makes up any shortfall automatically.
I own the building but do not occupy it. Does this work for me?
Yes. We agree the roof rights with you, and the power agreement with your occupier. Talk to us early. The two agreements are easier to align before a new tenant signs.
