Who we work with

Commercial sites with steady demand and long-term tenure

We focus on commercial buildings in London and the South East that use between 200 MWh and 2 GWh of electricity a year. Below that, the costs of a project are hard to recover. Above it, sites usually need a different kind of scheme.

Care and healthcare

Care operators

Care homes use power around the clock for heating, hot water, kitchens, laundry and medical equipment. That steady load means almost every unit from a rooftop system is used on site.

  • Lower and more predictable running costs, with no capital taken from care budgets.
  • A battery that covers the evening peak, when kitchens and laundry are busiest.
  • Group agreements across several homes, with one set of terms and one point of contact.
  • Where the property company and the operating company are separate, we structure the agreement so it works for both.

Owner-occupiers

Businesses that own their premises

Manufacturers, food and drink producers, cold stores and distribution sites often have large roofs and heavy daytime demand.

  • A fixed, indexed price for a large share of your daytime power.
  • No capital spend and nothing new on your balance sheet to maintain.
  • Metered on-site generation for your carbon reporting.
  • Battery capacity to cover short peaks if your grid connection is near its limit.

Let buildings

Landlords and tenants

In a let building the landlord controls the roof and the tenant pays the electricity bill. We agree roof rights with the landlord and the power agreement with the occupier, aligned so that neither carries the other’s risk.

For landlords

On-site renewable generation can help large let buildings meet the minimum energy efficiency standard. The government has confirmed that privately rented non-domestic buildings over 1,000 m² will need an EPC rating of B from 2031. A system on your roof costs you nothing and adds an asset tenants value.

For tenants

Cheaper, cleaner power for your operation without needing to own the building or spend capital. The agreement is written to deal with lease events, such as assignment or the end of your lease, before installation.

Talk to us early. The roof and power agreements are easiest to align before a new lease is signed.
